The Office of Research and Creative Scholarship (ORCS)
Supports faculty, staff, and students through the full spectrum of scholarly activity that includes scholarship of discovery, scholarship of integration, scholarship of engagement, and scholarship of teaching and learning. This is done through the awarding of grants, training, conferences, symposia, and other activities.

Undergraduate Research Scholar Award (URS)
Grants $750 per semester to undergraduates involved in an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, in the mentor’s area of expertise.

J. N. Andrews Honors Program
Involves writing a formal research proposal document, defending that proposal before the Honors Council, and presenting the research findings first at the Honors Scholars and Undergraduate Research Poster Symposium and later at the Honors Thesis Symposium.

Agriculture Education Center
Students get to turn their classroom knowledge into real world experience. Particularly for students pursuing animal science, sustainable horticulture, or agriculture degrees. 

International Center for Trauma Education and Care
Provides trauma-informed education and care to people and places around the globe. Over the last few years, School of Social Work faculty and students have traveled domestically and internationally to train groups and organizations about trauma awareness and provide practical healing.

Institute of Archaeology
Conducts and manages the archaeological research and educational programs at Andrews University. An important part of the Institute’s responsibilities is to conduct, manage, and promote archaeological fieldwork.

The Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has pledged $1 million in scholarships for students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education or theology at Andrews University.

Andrews University has been designated as a Minority Serving Institution (MSI) by meeting the criteria as set forth by the United States Department of Education for its services toward minority populations, making the University eligible for various academic and financial benefits.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded over $550,000 to a new collaborative project between Andrews University’s Department of Physics, Augsburg University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

The Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) awarded a 2023 Pacemaker Award to Envision, Andrews University’s student-produced magazine.

In Fall of 2023, Andrews University and Southwestern Michigan College (SMC) were awarded a $2 million partnership grant by the state of Michigan to support collaboration between the two schools’ nursing programs over the next five years.

Business graduates are employed at a high rate, with the academic year 2022-2023 6-month placement rate reaching nearly 100 percent.

In 2023, 24 percent of business graduates who self-reported, stayed in Michigan.

Almost all Computing graduates are employed in the discipline, and several continue to graduate school.
