Student Research
Students are encouraged to participate in research projects, either to further their own ideas or as sponsored research. Sponsored research allows for students to work with companies or community organizations to experience what it’s like to do real world design assignments and prepare them to work in the field in the future.
Study Abroad
CCS gives students the option to study abroad, either through traditional study abroad programs or through faculty-led study abroad classes.
CCS students have participated in events and research projects in partnership with major corporations, such as General Electric, Shinola, and Polaris/HASF. More than 1,000 companies have visited CCS since 2011. In the past year, CCS hosted 227 employers. These employer partnerships provide CCS students with valuable and marketable skills in an experiential learning environment.
CCS’s Office of Partnerships Career Development team connects students and alumni to companies and provides guidance on when searching for employment. The office hosts recruitment events to allow students to network with potential employers.
